The Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), which have been twinned since 1971, maintain a long-standing and close collaboration that was further strengthened with the renewal of their twinning agreement in 2021. Within the context of this enduring relationship, a delegation from the FCCI, led by President Mr. Charalambos Manoli, visited Greece for a joint session with a delegation from the PCCI, chaired by Mr. Vassilis Korkidis.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the PCCI headquarters, in a particularly warm and cooperative atmosphere. During the session, proposals for joint initiatives were discussed, and specific decisions were made to further enhance the cooperation between the two Chambers. Upon the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidents of the two Chambers exchanged commemorative gifts, reaffirming the longstanding and fraternal bond that unites them.

Later that same day, the FCCI delegation had the honor of being received by His Excellency Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, President of the Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (SKEE). The discussion was constructive, including a briefing on the work and activities of SKEE, and an exchange of views on potential avenues of collaboration with the FCCI. Naturally, the topic of Famagusta was also raised, with the FCCI delegation requesting the Ambassador’s intervention for the return of the city to its rightful residents.
That evening, the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted an official dinner in honor of the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The dinner took place in a cordial and welcoming atmosphere, reaffirming the deep mutual respect and the enduring close relationship between the two Chambers.
